In 2012, the city budget proposed re-partnering McDonough Recreation Center to a potential private, nonprofit recreation service provider. Amy championed outreach, including ¬†community listening sessions and further work with the Mayor Coleman’s administration, and responsible for identifying a solution in August 2013 to extend the Parks and Recreation programming partnership with the Public Housing Authority, invest an immediate $50,000 for capital improvement upgrades, and leverage operating budgets for an additional $60,000 annually for staff and programming.
